Infectious diseases such as *COVID-19* have become a public health threat in the country, it can quickly affects entire region therefore becoming a Global pandemic. Despite the severity of the *COVID-19*
pandemic, *Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello* by the mercy of God is still able to keep Kogi State COVID19-Free; Alhamdulilah KenKenyi said.
*Hon. Mj Kenkenyi* further said the Governor took a proactive measures in tackling the spread of *COVID-19* to the state.
The Governor already provide the State with highest attainable standard of supporting WATER to ensure good and consistently sanitation, hygiene (WASH) and waste management practices in communities, homes, and healthcare facilities as Lack of potable water will make preventative measures difficult.
The Governor also take a measure to Prevent human-to-human transmission of the *COVID-19* virus by joining other state in restricting the masses on certain rights, such as the freedom of movement. At the same time, careful attention to human rights and respect for human dignity were maintain by Governor Bello.
Hon. Mj Kenkenyi further express his appreciation over the huge support demonstrated by the Governor and his Cabinet by distributing preventive sanitizers, food items to different households in the state to alleviate the suffering of the populace during the lockdown.
Hon. Mj Kenkenyi said he acknowledged the kind gesture of the Chief of Staff in person of Hon. Muhammad Jamiu Asuku and Accountant General who have consistently supported the ongoing efforts to mitigate COVID-19 pandemic.
Hon. Mj Kenkenyi ended that He has been urging his close relations and the people of his Community to adhere strictly to the guidlines and preventive measures given by NCDC in other to STAY-SAFE and prevent the spread of COVID-19 Disease.
