The Official Flag-off of Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Youth Empowerment Foundation (PAAYEF) 3months Skill Acquisition Program By His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello, Ably represented by the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Ohere.
As often said by the Founder, Pharm Abdulkareem Moh'd Jamiu, the youths are the leaders of tomorrow, but begged to differ as he believes that the youths are the leaders of today hence, he has dimmed it necessary to join hands with fellow like minds and one of his well seated philanthropist, Engr. Abubakar Ohere who initiated the trench.
One of such avenue through which this tasks can be achieved is through the Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku Empowerment Foundations (PAAYEF) which in the last two years of its establishment has been able to impact and change the life of the youth towards attaining their bright future:-
*Payment of school fees for the less privileges in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
* Payment of WAEC for the less privileges and orphans. Sponsoring of 70 Jambites from Kogi Central and the facilitation of their admission processes of which most of them are in higher institutions already.
* Organizing Seminars for students on the ned of abandon examination malpractice during qualification examinations.
* Catering for I'll and sick ones from Kogi Central
* Sponsoring victims of accidents operations both within and outside the state.
*Hosting of football tournament in Okene LGA to foster peace, love, care and unity
*Providing food stuffs to the less privileges during Ramadan and other festivities i.e. Sallah and Christmas.
The motive for the 3months skills acquisition program was to engage all those seeking admission and into higher institutions because as the saying goes "an idle mind is the devils workshop'
Programs includes:- Cisco Networking, Copter Engineering, Oracle, ICT Security, I.T Governance, Advanced Graphics, Web Design/Hostisng etc.
In His speech, he tendered apologies to the Ajaokuta and Ogori Magongo Local Govts. for the exclusion and promised to extend his Philanthropical act of kindness to the two Local Govt. at the second phase of the program.
The Representative of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, The Executive Governor of Kogi State, the Hon. Special Adviser on Local Govt. and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Ohere in his keynote address, commended the Director General of Protocol for the laudable initiative and charged the organizers to scout out for another 150 potential beneficiaries of the scheme, cutting across the two LGAs (Ajaokuta and Ogori-magongo) to be sponsored by him through the already existing foundation (PAAYEF) in the second phase soon.
Others in attendance were the Hon. Member representing Okene-Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency, Hon. Tijani Damisa, The Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goal SDG, Senior Special Assistant on Women and Children Development, Hon. Sandra Musa, Royal fathers and other dignitries, invited guests, gentlemen of the Press and distinguished ladies and gentlemen.

Opinion:Truth Revealed-Why they never wanted GYB for 2019 By:GYB Loyalist

  Governor Yahaya Bello is many things to many people, often described by the critics as lacking the required experience and maturity to govern a state. But to us, he is courageous
, astute and creative; a man with a big heart and strong will, and the best governor Kogi has ever produced.
Governor Yahaya Bello came on board to redefine government, governance and public service in the state. There had been a prevailing order. In that order, government was about self-preservation and rewards, where appointments and contract award had everything to do with rewarding loyalists, ensuring maximum returns on investment and blocking perceived opposition from any access.
While the previous administration before now were dominated by one ethnic group in the state, Governor Yahaya Bello came on board and successfully pulled down those walls of ethnicity by assembling competent and resourceful aides from all over the state to work with him irrespective of tribe or religion, a move that even the governor’s kinsmen are not too comfortable with.
The other monumental sin made by the governor is that over 90% of his appointments are for the youth. The people who expect the government to fail as a result of youthfulness are surprise by its performance. In view of this, the old generation leaders who had failed the people became uncomfortable and thereby constituted themselves into an opposition to fight the government's policy at any given opportunity, not minding the success it has achieved on security, infrastructural development and the massive flushing out of ghost workers in the state civil service.
Before now, there were many people in the civil service that are not qualified to be there. Some are working with fake certificates, some collects salaries in two or three places. The rot was monumental that placed a burden on the governor to reform the system with the introduction of staff verification exercise. The strategy is a veritable weapon against wage fraud in almost all the states of the federation. Our case in Kogi is not peculiar, not the way it has been portrayed in the media.
To the opposition, any attempt to make gain of every situation in the state will turn counter-productive. Let us play down politics and rebirth a new Kogi based on love and mutual respect for all political divides, religious orientations, social persuasions, and ethnic affiliations.
To the youth of Kogi state, this is our government. Governor Yahaya Bello is one of us, and we must take ownership and support him to succeed in order to put the cabals to shame in any future election.

 WHAT IS A DISCIPLINED YOUTH?
    A disciplined youth is the pride of every nation. Before I give lessons for the  assertion, I will like to tell you who a disciplined youth is and what makes him a disciplined.
                 A disciplined youth can be described as a person who has been well trained both in mind and character to reflect self control, obedience and an orderly behavior. This implies complete success and an unlimited power of control over the desires of the flesh with the physical side being restrained. A youth who exhibit these qualities is able to control frivolous desires of the flesh and is discipline.
More so, youths are nation builders, being the nation’s flag-bearers and future leaders, auctioned and controlled by the laws of the land and as such maintains good and observable traits. All his efforts are centered towards achieving success. A disciplined youth shorn all forms of immorality, smuggling, drug addiction, negative peer group influence and other vices.
                Further more, it can be said that everything a society is proud of can be attributed to disciplined youths. Because nature has bestowed its dynamic energy, its beauty, obedience and self control on them. This is greatly reflected in the state of the nation.
                Summarily, being a disciplined youth is not easy. In fact, being a disciplined youth in a society like cars is even more difficult. But anyone who want to make his society proud at home and abroad ought to be able to challenge the evils of his society.
               Finally, every youth must stand up to enforce discipline by first disciplining himself/herself when this is done, the hope of solving the problem of society can be realized.just  like PHARM ABDULKAREEM MUHAMMED JAMIU ASUKU
